Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
Wallflow (“the App”) is a wallpaper discovery and customization app for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and the choices available to you. Wallflow does not require you to create an account.
Information we collect
Wallflow is designed to collect as little data as possible. Depending on how you use the App, the following may apply:
- Device preferences stored locally. Theme, language, grid layout, and favorite wallpapers are saved on your device using local storage. This data does not leave your device unless you choose to share a wallpaper.
- Anonymous device identifier for likes. When you like a wallpaper, a randomly generated identifier stored on your device is sent to our servers so we can track which wallpapers you have liked. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or other personal information.
- Usage analytics. The App may send anonymous usage events — such as app opens, screen views, and wallpaper selections — to our servers. These events include your platform (iOS or Android), the screen viewed, and optional metadata such as wallpaper category. We derive a daily anonymous visitor key from your IP address; the raw IP address is not stored.
- Advertising data. Wallflow displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and interaction data to serve and measure ads. See Google's privacy policy for details on how they handle this data.
- Firebase Analytics. The App uses Firebase Analytics, which may collect device and usage information to help us understand how the App is used. Firebase data is processed by Google.
Permissions
Wallflow may request the following device permissions:
- Photo library access. Required only when you choose to save a wallpaper to your gallery. Wallflow does not access your photos unless you initiate a save.
- Set wallpaper (Android). Required to apply a wallpaper directly to your home or lock screen on supported Android devices.
You can revoke permissions at any time through your device settings.
How we use information
We use the limited data described above to:
- Deliver wallpaper content and keep favorites and likes in sync with our servers where applicable
- Understand which features and wallpapers are most popular so we can improve the App
- Serve and measure advertisements that support the free version of the App
- Maintain the security and reliability of our services
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
Wallflow relies on the following third-party services:
- Our API servers — host wallpaper content, process likes, and receive anonymous analytics events
- Google AdMob — advertising (Google Privacy Policy)
- Google Firebase — analytics (Firebase Privacy)
- Wallpaper sources — wallpapers are sourced from third-party providers and community submissions. Images are served through our infrastructure.
These services have their own privacy policies and may process data according to their terms.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics events and like records are retained only as long as needed to operate and improve the App. Data stored locally on your device remains until you uninstall the App or clear the App's storage.
Children's privacy
Wallflow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please uninstall the App and we will address any server-side records associated with anonymous identifiers.
Your choices
- You can use the App without creating an account
- You can revoke device permissions at any time in your system settings
- You can uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data
- On iOS, you can limit ad tracking through Settings > Privacy > Tracking
- On Android, you can reset your advertising ID through Settings > Google > Ads
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
